Producer Experience

Come down to Soundwave Recording Studio and enjoy this studio producer experience session. Fancy a go at mixing some pre recorded songs? How about producing some of your own music? Or simply finding out what all the different buttons and faders do? Our experienced members of staff at Soundwave are here to guide you through your very own producer experience.

The three hour session will teach you about the different equipment we have; learning about the software, production and mixing techniques. You will get to take your mix or production home with you at the end of the session. This is an excellent experience for a starting music tech student or any home producer/recording enthusiast.

This experience will give you a taste of what it is like being a studio engineer/producer in a professional recording studio. One of our friendly staff members will be there to guide, teach and encourage you through the session. You can choose from a selection of pre recorded tracks or you can produce your own compositions. This is a great gift for anyone with a interest in music technology and production.

If you choose to spend the session learning how to mix we can provide you with a number of different track genres to choose from. You will learn the basics of mixing, how to use compression, eq, fxs like reverb and delays, editing and much more. If you choose to spend the session producing your own beat from scratch our in house producer will guide you through the steps of creating your own unique beat. Once the beat is made we will give the song a ruff mix together for you to take home after the session.

What To Expect

Our producer experience sessions are aimed at giving you a taster into what life in the audio engineering and production industry is all about. You will make your own CD either mixing some pre recorded songs or producing something of your own creation, whilst also learning about lots of different aspects of Music Technology. So how about it…fancy being the next Avicci or Clean Bandit? For people choosing to make their own productions, a small amount of musical knowledge really helps you in creating the music.

Participant Guidelines

Minimum age: 12 (Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult)

The adult booking the session will be responsible for all children attending.

Availability

The Studio is open 6 days a week from Tuesday to Sunday.

We highly recommend you book at least a month or more in advance to ensure you can get the date you desire. Weekend bookings are in high demand for party sessions so booking in advance is necessary. All bookings are subject to availability.

Spectators

We do allow spectators but we ask that you only bring 2 per participant.

How It Works

Once you have purchased your chosen Party session we will send you a receipt and booking information via email. Your receipt will contain a unique voucher number which you will need to book your session. We will also include a voucher you can print if the session is a gift.
